Where Communication
Takes a Leap

Speech pathology for children and young people

Evidence based speech pathology support available online and in Brisbane

We provide assessment and therapy services for children and young people who are having difficulty with language, literacy, and speech development. We aim to help each child build confidence, develop practical communication skills and thrive at home, school and in their community.

Speech Sounds

Some children may have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds or speaking clearly enough for others to understand them. We can assess and support speech sound development, helping children improve their speech clarity, confidence, and ability to communicate effectively with teachers, family and friends.

Language Development

Language skills are essential for learning, social interaction, and everyday communication. We support children with expressing their thoughts, ideas, and needs (expressive language), as well as their listening and understanding (receptive language). Therapy is tailored to each child's strengths and needs, helping them develop the skills needed to communicate effectively across all settings.

Literacy Skills

Strong literacy skills form the foundation for academic success. We work with children and young people who may be experiencing challenges with early literacy development, reading, writing and spelling.

Stuttering Support

Stuttering can affect a child's confidence and willingness to participate in conversations. We provide evidence based assessment and intervention to help children and young people manage stuttering, develop fluency and positive communication experiences. Our focus is not only on speech fluency but also on building confidence, reducing communication anxiety, and supporting participation in everyday activities.

Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)

Some children benefit from additional ways to communicate alongside or instead of spoken language. We support individuals who use Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), including communication boards, visual supports, and speech generating devices. We work closely with families, educators, and support networks to help children develop meaningful communication skills and use their AAC systems effectively across all areas of life.
